What Should Be President-elect Obama's Top Priorities?

I was surfing the web and came across an interesting and bold item posted on AOL Voices by "Big dark guy1." The question was what are your priorities you think President-elect Barack Obama should adopt. I love "Big dark guy1's" proposals.

What are yours?

"African Americans must now move to translate our recent symbolic electoral win into concrete victories. A stimulus package is being prepared to push the nation out of recession. We need to demand among other things:

1) Two hundred Billion Dollars to lower class size in urban schools.

2) Four hundred Billion Dollars for Skill Development and Job retraining for the unemployed.

3) Three Hundred Billion to assist Homeowners facing foreclosures.

4) 75 billion dollars in development aid to Africa and the Caribbean.

5) An end to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan

What would you like to see added to the Obama agenda?

Not bad, however we will never see this happen. Too much like doing the right thing. Yet, we can dream about an America where schools, skilled training for real jobs, with mortgages people can afford, as well as foreign aid going to Africa and the Caribbean, plus the end to the two wars abroad. Wake up. The dream's over!
